On Saturday, the Boeuf River and North Louisiana Vintage Tractor Clubs held the fourth annual Ruston Antique Tractor Pull. The event saw 52 pulling tractors and 26 different classes.

It appears the Lincoln Parish Detention Center will undergo extensive renovations sometime in the near future.
The Lincoln Parish Detention Center Commission met last week to discuss facility issues, a proposal by Sheriff Mike Stone, juvenile housing and finances.
Warden Zack Crooks gave the report from LaSalle Management, the organization that is under a management contract for the detention center.
The Louisiana Peach Festival will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for largest peach cobbler ever made.
Brandon Sutherland, director of sales at the Hampton Inn in Ruston, said the festival will attempt to break the record at this year’s festival.
“It will be 13 feet long, eight inches deep and weigh one metric ton,” he said.
Sponsored by Hampton Inn, several donations were made in order to make this event happen, Sutherland said.
