Many communities have been affected by the recent rainfall that has hit our area.
The Red Cross depends on volunteers to accomplish the humanitarian organization’s mission: providing relief to victims of disaster and helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. As flooding continues across the area, more residents are asking how they can serve as volunteers.
Slightly cooler mornings recently have likely made some residents dream of fall. For students who are enjoying their summer breaks, those fall days aren’t too far away, and with them will come the start of a new school year.
Unfortunately, for some members of our community, the idea of going back to school brings an added level of stress. While school supplies are expensive for all students, they are especially expensive for those students who are currently being served by the Domestic Abuse Resistance Team.
