Lincoln Parish will soon be getting $673,078 in federal 404 Mitigation funds. The grant came from a meeting with the state office of Homeland Security, said Kip Franklin, director of the Lincoln Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. “Last year, we had a meeting with some people from the governor’s office of Homeland Security, and I invited people from every entity in the parish to sit in on this meeting just to see if there were any mitigation projects they would be interested in doing,” he said, adding that there were representatives from the city of Ruston, the...
