A mass choir from churches in Ruston and Farmerville will perform a benefit gospel concert for the Paul E. Slaton Head Start Center and Lincoln Total Community Action Agency at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 at New Rocky Valley Baptist Church in Grambling. Funds raised from the event will help Head Start get re-established in the wake of a fire that destroyed the center’s main building on Oakdale Street in October, choir director Derik Slaton said.
