A free Value-Added Bee Products workshop will be offered on Sept. 6, at the Lincoln Parish Library in Ruston, from 6-7:30 p.m. This workshop will introduce ways to make and market bee products — even in an urban environment. Special guest speaker is Amy Weeks, Master Craftsman Beekeeper at My Favorite Honey in West Monroe. Weeks has served as past president of Hill Country Beekeepers, on the board of directors of the Louisiana Beekeepers Association, as a member of the American Apitherapy Society, and as a member of Monroe’s Herb Society.
