Gov. Edwards, Guice cut ribbon on new Enterprise Campus facility

Gov. John Bel Edwards, right, Louisiana Tech President Les Guice and a host of other dignitaries met Wednesday to cut the ribbon on Tech Pointe II, a $17 million extension of Tech’s Enterprise Campus that will lease space to corporate tenants who want to locate near the university’s research facilities and talent pipeline. Having first announced Tech Pointe II four years ago, Edwards and Guice reunited for its completion just two months before they’ll end their respective tenures as governor and Tech president.

Majority of voters don’t care in Louisiana

So they threw a party, and nobody came. That’s what happened in Louisiana’s recent gubernatorial election. The turnout of voters going to the polls was a pathetic 35%. But remember that only 50% of Louisiana citizens are actually registered.
