After dropping game one of Sunday’s doubleheader 8- 3, Louisiana Tech secured a victory in game two 6-1, picking up a series win over No. 25 Dallas Baptist.

On Friday shortly before 2 p.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop F began investigating a singlevehicle fatal crash on Hwy. 146 near Nig-Dorsey Road. The crash claimed the life of 82-year-old Geneva Williams of Chatham.
Ruston police arrested two teenagers Friday who escaped from a South Louisiana youth correction center and apparently tried to steal a vehicle from a local car rental agency.
