The city of Ruston is laying off all of its part-time employees and contract workers, furloughing 21 employees and cutting pay for others in light of the economic slowdown caused by the coronavirus.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Lincoln Parish has climbed once again. As of noon Friday, the parish had 17 cases, according to a daily update from the Louisiana Department of Health.
As Louisiana faces the double whammy of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and crashing oil prices, something different has happened among our state leaders.
