Senior members of Ruston High’s 2023 state championship football team spent the day recently in Baton Rouge as guests of the Louisiana Legislature. The team and coaches were honored at the Capitol and then were treated to a meal at the apartment of House speaker Phillip DeVillier. The Bearcats put together a 14-0 season to win the school’s first state title since 1990.
