A famous baseball game in Ruston was the benefit game played by the “Fats” and the “Leans” in celebration of the installation of the fountain at City Park. Players included Rev. R.H. Wynn, W.J. Lewis, Dr. J.F. Johnston, Tom Connell, O.S. Castlin, C. W. Perkins, H.M. Warren, Abe Conn, J.H. Mays, Charles Carter, Rev. S.W. Brown, R.E. Carter, E.S. Kidd, Tom Boyd, Frank Martin, N.B. Boyd, Newton Jackson, S.L. Barksdale, and Charles Gullatt.

When Bobby Mounts started PJ’s of Ruston, it had nothing to do with recognition. His desire was simply to provide the best environment possible for guests with great co-workers who were attentive and passionate about each guest’s experience.
