It’s Peach Festival weekend. In fact, it’s No. 74. While a mainstay, the festival has certainly evolved through the years. And recently I’ve been reminded just how much it has changed. It has grown and stretched and even reinvented itself. However, at the same time it has managed to remain consistent in many ways.
Emily Kate Posey, of Choudrant, and Todd Hunter Crouse, of Bayville, New Jersey, were united in marriage June 1 at First Methodist Church of Monroe. Kem Alexander officiated the double-ring ceremony.

In the northern-most part of Jackson Parish lies a tiny community known as Ansley, and in a bygone era that area was home to a hotel, a school and various other thriving businesses.
