In keeping with the holiday tradition, Lincoln Parish Retired Educators (LPRE) visited Princeton Place Nursing and Rehab Center last Thursday to present their heartwarming holiday program, “Carols, Comfort, and Joyful Socks.”
Fresh off playing for respective state championships, Ruston High and Alexandria Senior High rightfully dominated the 2- 5A All-District team, with the Bearcats boasting 18 selections between the first and second teams.
Bringing the Ryder Cup to notoriously nasty Bethpage Black was already cause for concern. Imagine the most passionate, patriotic event in golf played before a flag-waving crowd that once harassed Sergio Garcia so badly he pointed at them with the wrong finger.
The Cedar Creek Lady Cougars continued their dominance Monday night with a tough battle against Choudrant, taking a 40-30 victory in a gritty Lincoln Parish matchup.
Santa and his elves were in full swing recently with visits to the residents of Princeton Place in Ruston. The Lincoln Parish Retired Educators distributed cozy winter socks and led everyone in their favorite Christmas carols. The Trinity Methodist Church preschoolers also had caroling on their mind, performing a selection of holiday favorites before presenting homemade Christmas cards to all the residents. The Chautauqua Woods Tutorial came by for a little Christmas crafting, helping residents create cute handprint snowmen ornaments. Lincoln Community Health Center also dropped by with gifts for their adopted residents. Feeling the love and joy of the season, Princeton Place is grateful for such community support and the blessings received by all.
