Ten new trash receptacles have been installed along Ruston’s North Monroe Street Corridor through a Keep Louisiana Beautiful Trash Receptacle Grant awarded the city.
At approximately 10 a.m. Thursday, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to a two-vehicle crash on La. 34 near Chatham Lake Road. The crash claimed the life of 61-year-old David Perry of West Monroe.
Each week, a small army of volunteers join me to work with kids who have seen domestic mayhem, personally experienced violence or abuse, or endured extreme neglect. It amazes me how well they seem to cope with all that they have been through.
