This weekend MedCamps of Louisiana held its Heroes with Hearts Retreat, a partnership with Louisiana Tech University’s Division of Nursing that pairs MedCamps campers with chronic illnesses or disabilities with Tech nursing students. Campers have a fun and safe weekend at camp while students get hands-on experience with pediatric care in a community setting. HOUSTON — The seventh-ranked Louisiana Tech bowling team went 3-2 on the opening day of the Track Kat Klash and Emerald Bowl in Houston on Friday. Louisiana Tech opened the tournament with a sixbagger to take a commanding lead over Alabama State.
