In late February at the Lincoln Parish Library, Wellspring hosted high school sophomores and juniors from D’Arbonne Woods Charter School, Choudrant High School, Cedar Creek School and Ruston High School to research topics of local and national concern. Guest speakers during the two-day event included Joey and Jessica Slaughter with Friends of Ruston Skatepark and Mechelle Brown with Buddy Ball of Ruston. Each team used the information they collected to create a proposal for change and presented to local community and business leaders.
