The Louisiana Tech University Foundation chose Dr. Jamie Newman for its annual Professorship Award. Newman earned the recognition for her dedication to research, teaching, and student mentorship.
It’s Peach Festival weekend. In fact, it’s No. 74. While a mainstay, the festival has certainly evolved through the years. And recently I’ve been reminded just how much it has changed. It has grown and stretched and even reinvented itself. However, at the same time it has managed to remain consistent in many ways.
The celebration continues this weekend for the 74th Louisiana Peach Festival. And in honor of this fabulous homegrown music and arts festival, let’s look at some local recipes that showcase the perfect local fruit — peaches!
Kevin Davis Crume was born on February 14, 1962, in Roseburg, Oregon. He left this world unexpectedly and was received by his Heavenly Father on the morning of May 29, 2024, at 62 years of age.
