Funeral service for Robert Charles “Buddy” Stevenson, age 74, of Ruston, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Taylor, Arkansas.
A closed-casket memorial service will be held for Rufus Washington, Jr., at 2 pm, Monday, October 7, 2024, at King’s Funeral Home, in Ruston. Visitation will be held at 12-2 p.m., closed-casket, prior to the service.

Saturday’s 35th annual Louisiana Chicken Festival appeared to be the biggest one in recent memory as a large crowd enjoyed a parade, more art and food vendors than ever before, live music, staple competitions like the Strut, Cackle and Crow and drumstick eating contest, an antique car show, and much more.
