The Louisiana State Mesonet team was on site Tuesday at the Lincoln Parish Police Jury’s dirt pit on Big Creek Road in Dubach to erect the next weather data-collecting tower for the new statewide network. A project helmed by the University of Louisiana at Monroe, the Mesonet will collect a variety of weather data from 50 towers across the state. Live data for each site will be available to the public online.

While early voting ended Tuesday, the deadline for the registrar of voters to receive a voter absentee ballot is Monday by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters).
