Local Habitat for Humanity supporters recently gathered for the organization’s traditional “Stud Signing Day” where individuals write Bible verses on studs of the new house. According to Habitat CEO Kathy Gardner, the Stud Signing Day is one of four very special days for Habitat for Humanity and the homeowners. The day allows the community to support homeowners by putting selected verses on the studs. “This shows the homeowners their love that Christ has given to them to share with the homeowners,” Gardner said. “The Bible verses strengthen the bond between the community, Habitat and the homeowners. But first and foremost, the Bible verses wrap the homeowners with God’s word and love.”
