Following the recent Rolling Hills Disaster Relief Training held at Temple Baptist Church, several teams from across the region gathered to pack thousands of meals through the Pack Shack initiative. Funded by NLAR Weyerhaeuser, the effort rallies behind the “humanity vs. hunger” theme and allows volunteers the opportunity to scoop and weigh ingredients, seal bags, and package the single-bag meals into boxes for distribution. Pictured are Temple members (from left to right) Nancy Darland, David Darland, Jason Walsworth, Dale Oden, and Jada Walsworth, working at one of the stations during the packing event. According to John Cowling, Rolling Hills ministry director, there are now more than 41,000 meals available should individuals throughout the community need them.
