Funeral services for Georgia Carter Myers, age 96, were held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA on Friday, June 5, with Rev. Dale Oden officiating.
Dr. Birdex Copeland, Jr., was born Sept. 26, 1943 and died June 2, 2020 at the age of 76. Viewing was held from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020, with funeral services following at 2 p.m.

The Lincoln Parish School Board returned to an in-person meeting on Tuesday in the Ruston High School auditorium after two consecutive video conference meetings. The board approved its employees’ 2020-21 salary schedules and got a construction update on the Ruston High Eco-Car building from New Construction Supervisor James Payton.
The Lambright Sports and Wellness Center, closed to the public since mid-March, will open its doors again on June 15 with policies in place to protect students, staff, and members.
