Tech’s Taylor Young was placed on the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Watch List, the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation announced on Tuesday. The award is given to the nation’s best hitter, and special consideration is also given to academics and personal integrity. The West Monroe native has a career batting average of .306 and an onbase percentage of .454. He has accumulated 85 career walks and will reach the top 10 in school history with only two more in 2020.
