Members of the Lincoln Rotary Club chose to partner with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) of Northeast Louisiana for its March Service Project. Club members (left to right) Victoria Sexton, Ben Humphries, Ty Storms, J Walpole, Fletcher Hyacinth, Travis Napper, Rachel Cooper, Denise Dupree, and Pamela Stewart gathered to create 115 Easter baskets for children currently in the program. CASA Volunteers are appointed by a judge to help ensure that each abused or neglected child finds a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible. The role of a CASA is to act as an extra pair of eyes and ears for the court system, collecting information through observation and interviews with key people in the child’s life and then reporting back to the judge. Those interested in becoming a volunteer for this program can contact Leslie Bryan at 318-398-0945.Courtesy photo
