For the city of Ruston, 2024 saw continued work to get ready for the giant, Texas-based convenience store chain Bucee’s to break ground, as well as changes in the recycling program, votes to increase elected officials’ salaries and raise water rates, and progress on several economic projects.

RHS alumni association donates to clubs, projects

The Ruston High School Alumni Association stopped by the school earlier this month to make a $3,000 donation to a variety of student clubs and projects, including Bearcat Robotics, Bearcats on Broadway, the Bass Fishing club, and a class project on the dangers of drunk and distracted driving.
