The World Stroke Organization reports that a person suffers a stroke once every three seconds across the globe each day. Globally, there are roughly 12.2 million new strokes each year, and one in four individuals age 25 and older will have a stroke at some point in their lifetime.

Funeral service for Robert Charles “Buddy” Stevenson, age 74, of Ruston, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Taylor, Arkansas.
A closed-casket memorial service will be held for Rufus Washington, Jr., at 2 pm, Monday, October 7, 2024, at King’s Funeral Home, in Ruston. Visitation will be held at 12-2 p.m., closed-casket, prior to the service.
