Lawrence Gibbs, longtime conductor and member of the Russ-Town Jazz Band, conducts the group for the last time at the Dixie Center for the Arts over the weekend. One of the founding members of the Russ-Town Band, Gibbs officially retired following a performance over the weekend at the Dixie Center for the Arts. Although retiring, Gibbs may still sit in with the band every now and then while still remaining engaged in the local arts scene.
