American Forests, Weyerhaeuser and Tiguar Urban Forestry Consulting teamed up with the city of Ruston and Ruston High School to plant 33 trees at Duncan Park Thursday morning as part of an ongoing partnership to bring American Forests’ Tree Equity program to Ruston and educate local students about high-quality careers in urban and community forestry. Left to right, Ruston City Forester Robert Austin and Weyerhaeuser volunteers Sydney McCoy and Tom Garris dig a hole for an oak tree at the park. See more on this program in Sunday’s Ruston Daily Leader.
