There may have been lots of candy involved, but the Witches of Forest Circle rode through their Ruston neighborhood over the weekend with a special mission in mind.
The Louisiana State Mesonet team was on site Tuesday at the Lincoln Parish Police Jury’s dirt pit on Big Creek Road in Dubach to erect the next weather data-collecting tower for the new statewide network. A project helmed by the University of Louisiana at Monroe, the Mesonet will collect a variety of weather data from 50 towers across the state. Live data for each site will be available to the public online.
