Grambling falls to ULM, 35-7

MONROE— Grambling State University Head Football Coach Doug Williams saw the danger creeping in during last week’s practice. Repeatedly, Williams and his staff warned the youthful Tigers what could happen if they lost focus on the field.
Those warnings went unheeded, and now all Williams and Co. can do is hope it will be a learning experience for the G-Men as Grambling State fell 35-7 at Louisiana-Monroe before a crowd of 36,532, the third largest in Malone Stadium history.

Bulldogs: A wild OT win

It wasn’t supposed to be this nerve-wracking for Louisiana Tech University in its home opener Saturday night.
But figure on Bulldogs’ Head Coach Sonny Dykes adding on a few gray hairs after his team had to use an overtime period to edge past Football Championship Series member University of Central Arkansas 48-42 in front of nearly 21,000 fans at Joe Aillet Stadium.
