"March a Mile in our Shoes" protest

More than 1,000 people took to the streets of the Louisiana Tech University campus and downtown Ruston to peacefully protest against racial injustice on Thursday, June 4.

The event ended in front of Ruston City Hall, where demonstrators knelt for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, the same amount of time a Minneapolis, Minnesota police officer knelt on the neck of George Floyd until Floyd died.
