‘Buddy Bowl’ shirts on sale

Geaux Bulldogs. Geaux Tigers. But most of all, Geaux “Buddy.” Louisiana Tech and Grambling State fans can buy the official “Buddy Bowl” T-shirts for the upcoming football game between the Bulldogs and the Tigers set to be played Sept. 7 at Joe Aillet Stadium. That game has been nicknamed the “Buddy Bowl” in honor of Ruston Daily Leader Executive Sports Editor Emeritus O.K. “Buddy” Davis, who passed away on July 13 at the age of 72. The shirt is offered in both Louisiana Tech blue and Grambling State gold colors.
The shirts cost $20 each and must be ordered online by midnight on Monday.
Proceeds from sales will go to the Buddy Davis Endowed Scholarship for Grambling State University and Louisiana Tech Athletics.

Shirts will be delivered via three options: pick up at the Louisiana Tech Bookstore, located at 100 Wisteria Lane on the Tech campus from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sept. 6; at Bulldog Village at Joe Aillet Stadium from 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sept. 7; or via shipping, although shipped shirts will not arrive before the game is played on Sept. 7.
Davis covered the both the Louisiana Tech and Grambling State athletics programs during his 55-year career with the Ruston Daily Leader.
