Antley named first recipient of Tech’s Gantt Graham Endowed Scholarship

Carson Antley is the first recipient of the Gantt Graham Endowed Scholarship from Louisiana Tech.
The Gantt Graham Endowed Scholarship has been fully funded and will provide financial support for a deserving Louisiana Tech University student.
The first recipient of the Gantt Graham Endowed Scholarship is Carson Antley, a 2021 Ruston High School graduate who will be coming to Tech this fall to study in the College of Business.
Each year, the scholarship will benefit a student at Louisiana Tech with preference given to students from Ruston High School and Lincoln Parish. The undergraduate student must be in good academic standing with the university.
“This endowment serves as an incredible way to honor a man who cared deeply for Louisiana Tech football,” Tech Vice President and Director of Athletics Eric Wood said. “I commend the Graham family for their leadership on this endeavor. Gantt’s memory will live on forever within the Louisiana Tech Family through their generosity.”
The scholarship was instituted in memory of the former head of equipment operations for the Bulldog football.
Graham (1990-2020) was a graduate of both Ruston High School and Louisiana Tech. He served as a student equipment manager for the Tech Football team from 2009-13 while he was an undergraduate student. After graduation, Graham worked with the University of Houston football team from 2015-17 before returning to Louisiana Tech as the head of equipment operations for the Bulldog football team from 2017-19.
“Gantt embodied what it meant to be a Louisiana Tech Bulldog and serve our studentathletes,” head coach Skip Holtz said. “Jen and I were honored to personally support this endowment that will support an undergraduate student and shows the commitment we expect from Bulldogs on the field and in the classroom.”
Graham, the son of Randy and Sally and brother of Matthew, Thomas and Lindsey, had a deep love for sports, especially football. Gantt and the Graham family had been heavily involved in serving Ruston and Louisiana Tech. Matthew and Thomas Graham were both deep snappers for Tech.
