Forest Lawn Field of Flags

Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery and Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston will be observing Memorial Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday featuring their 29th Annual Field of Flags.

To honor the country’s veterans of war and peace, over 80 original veterans’ burial flags line the drives of the cemetery.

A small flag is placed on each of the nearly 400 veterans’ graves.

Veterans flags are on loan from families of those laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The display is free and open to the public. Forest Lawn is located on Hwy. 80 West just past Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston.
