Freeze warning for Lincoln Parish tonight

The first freeze warning of the fall will include Lincoln Parish tonight.
A freeze warning issued by the National Weather Service will be active from midnight to 9 a.m. Friday. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees are expected.
Pipes are not a concern, according to the NWS, but the conditions may damage crops, other sensitive plants and possibly harm unprotected outdoor pets or livestock.
Residents are encouraged to take steps now to protect tender plants and animals from the cold.
