Lincoln Parish Park has sold $100,900 worth of water from Hoogland Lake to oil and gas company Nadel and Gussman, all of which will stay in the park’s fund and help finance future improvements. Joe Anderson, executive vice president of Nadel and Gussman’s Ruston-based Arklatex operations, said he chooses to buy water for fracking from the park in lieu of more accessible options in order to help support the park. Anderson, left, is pictured handing a check for the water to Park Director James Ramsaur. Ramsaur said the lake would be back to normal water levels long before beach season.
