Last year’s Monster Mash Halloween event at the Ruston Sports Complex drew a large crowd, with plenty of goodies given away.
Organizers of Ruston’s annual Monster Mash Halloween happening need vendors.
“We’re looking for anybody who wants to come out and be part of the community event,” city Recreation Supervisor Amanda Lonadier said.
Monster Mash will be held Oct. 24 at 5:30 p.m. the Ruston Sports Complex. Planners hope to get 65 vendors; so far they have 45, Lonadier said.
Local church groups, businesses, civic groups, and others set up along the sidewalks inside the sports complex offering candy, games, and goodies to trick-or-treaters.
Approximately, 3,000 youngsters attended Monster Mash last year, Lonadier said. At least that many are expected this year, she said.
Each vendor will be assigned a specific space. Vendor setup begins at noon. Vendors can decorate their areas with a Halloween theme, and workers can come in costume, Lonadier said.
Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs, tents, decorations, candy, and giveaways.
Deadline to request a space is Oct. 16.
