Putting out the call against cancer

Matt McKenney of Z107.5 radio mans the booth Thursday morning at the station during the first day of the St. Jude Radiothon fundraiser event. Now 40 years in the running, the St. Jude Radiothon raises money to support the children’s hospital that specializes in cancer care. The event is produced by the fundraising arm of St. Jude, the Z107.5 station, and the Zeta Rho chapter of the ESA sorority.

The radiothon runs through 6 p.m. today. Online donations can be made through a link on the Z107.5 home page as well as its Instagram and Facebook pages. Phone donations can be made at 1-800-787-5288 and in-person donations are being taken at both Ruston Walmart locations and Super 1 Foods.
