A 17-year-old Ruston High School student has been charged with nonconsensual disclosure of an image after he reportedly shared an explicit video of himself and a 16-year-old female with another person.

Zyheim Jamel McCallister was arrested Wednesday morning at the school. According to McCallister’s arrest affidavit, the school resource officer was contacted by the victim’s mother who said the video, which allegedly had been recorded on McCallister’s cellphone, had been sent to the victim’s 17-year-old friend through Instagram. The friend reportedly confirmed receipt of the video, telling the officer she was upset about it and immediately deleted it.

McCallister acknowledged he made the video but said he sent it by accident, the affidavit said. Investigators found the video on McCallister’s phone, the report said.

McCallister was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on $1,000 bond.
