Storm Damage

Above, strong straight-line winds that ripped across northeast Lincoln Parish early Tuesday morning uprooted this large tree on Ken’s Landing Road. Part of the tree fell on an adjacent abandoned house. Bottom, Lincoln Parish Police Jury crews spent part of Tuesday morning removing limbs and cutting entire trees from across Ken’s Landing Road after the winds blew through the area in the predawn. The winds were part of a storm system that began moving through the area shortly before midnight Monday. Ken’s Landing Road, as well as nearby Virgil Road where trees also fell, were reopened by midmorning.
