Tickets available online for Bayou Jamb at ULM

Tickets are still available for this weekend’s Bayou Jamb football extravaganza at ULMonroe’s Malone Stadium, with two Lincoln Parish teams participating.

There are eight games scheduled for the two-day event, with Cedar Creek and Ouachita Christian kicking off the Bayou Jamb at 4 p.m. today. Richwood and Oak Grove follow at 6 p.m., with Natchitoches-Central and Ouachita Parish playing the nightcap at 8 p.m.

Saturday’s action begins at 10 a.m., with D’Arbonne Woods Charter facing St. Frederick. The Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers battle Red River at noon, with Jena and Many taking the field at 4 p.m. In what may be the most anticipated matchup of the weekend, Ruston takes on rival Neville at 6 p.m., with Evangel Christian Academy and West Monroe wrapping up the Bayou Jamb at 8 p.m.

Gates to Malone Stadium will open at 3 p.m. today and 9 a.m. Saturday. Per LHSAA regulations, clear bags are mandatory to enter the stadium. The general admission tickets are valid for all eight games.

For defending Division I Non-select state champion Ruston, this year will mark the return of Neville into District 2-5A, while Cedar Creek has moved into District 1-1A, and will not be in the same league with OCS.

Both teams open up the regular season Sept. 6 with Ruston at home against Acadiana and Creek on the road at Delhi Charter.
