Harold Daughdril
Harold Daughdril, 90, passed away peacefully February 13, 2022, in The Woodlands, Texas, after a lengthy illness.
He was born July 24, 1931, in Sontag, Mississippi to Benjamin Excel Daughdril and Lucile Allmand Daughdril and graduated from Arcadia High School in Arcadia.
Harold served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1954 with a deployment to Morocco. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University, and soon after married Elizabeth Rogers Daughdril, who preceded him in death.
Harold and Elizabeth made homes in Plaquemines Parish, New Orleans, and in Baton Rouge during his career with Freeport-McMoRan.
In retirement, Harold and Elizabeth divided their time between Conroe, Texas and Arcadia, where they enjoyed gardening and visiting with friends and relatives.
Harold is survived by daughter Susan Warren and her husband Tim of The Woodlands, Texas; son Scott Daughdril and his wife Kirsten of Atlanta, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Kate Warren of Dallas, Texas, and Charles, James and Thomas Daughdril of Atlanta, Georgia.
Our family wishes to express our gratitude to the nurses and caregivers of the Auberge at The Woodlands and Devotion Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and dedicated care, and to the many friends who supported our family during his illness.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7, at 2 p.m. at the Alabama Baptist Church in Arcadia, both Harold and Elizabeth.
