Vernon Robert ‘Bob’ Yepson

Funeral services for Vernon Robert “Bob” Yepson, 83, of Ruston, will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Rev. Tony Smith and Rev. Wayne Ray will officiate and interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Memorial Gardens in Ruston.

Bob was born on October 19, 1938 in Brighton, New York, and passed away on July 6, 2022 in Ruston. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Calhoun, and retired as a design engineer from Northrop Grumman.

Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Martin Yepson and Elinor Douglas Yepson; two sisters, Betty Summers and Barbara Gager.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Rutledge Yepson; son, Andrew Todd Yepson and wife Susan of Ruston; daughter, Margo Yepson Miller and husband Timothy, II of Rockford, Michigan; grandchildren, Lauren Yepson and fiancé Daniel Sparks, Timothy Miller, III, Jackson Miller, Justin Moore and wife Tiara; sister, Lisa Seay and husband Bobby of Fleetwood, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
