A powerful spring storm that’s ripping across east Texas this morning is expected to arrive in Lincoln Parish around midafternoon, bringing with it widespread severe thunderstorms, and the threat of large hail and tornadoes.
The National Weather Service has elevated the parish to the moderate risk category for all types of severe weather. Timing for Lincoln Parish is from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., with serious threat of discrete supercell thunderstorms around 6 p.m.
Authorities are urging residents to stay weather aware, be attuned to warnings, and be ready to move to a safe place should that be necessary.
