Ruston police seek tips in shooting
Ruston police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect in a shooting that left a local man injured.
The incident happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. Monday around Terrill Drive. Before officers arrived on the scene, they got word the victim had arrived at Northern Louisiana Medical Center for treatment, RPD Deputy Chief Chad Hamlin said Thursday.
The victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg.
The man told police he heard a gunshot come from the wooded area near Terrill Drive, but he couldn’t provide officers with any additional suspect information, Hamlin said.

Tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward for information up to $5,000.
