RPD seeks robbery suspect

Ruston police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who took money from a cash register at the USA Travel Plaza on Farmerville Highway last week.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:03 a.m. Wednesday.
Security camera video confirmed the suspect jumped on the counter and removed money from the register shortly after the clerk opened it for a purchase, RPD Deputy Chief Chad Hamlin said in a press release issued Monday afternoon.
The suspect is a Black male, approximately 5' 8" tall, with a low haircut and was wearing a mask over his mouth during the incident. He was seen getting into a small black car that headed north on Farmerville Highway.

Tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward for information up to $5,000.
