Leonard F. McAdams
Leonard F. McAdams, 93, of Ruston, died in his home on May 6, 2023, after a brief illness.
Leonard, “L.F.,” was born October 15, 1929, in Epps, Louisiana. He was a decorated veteran of both the Army and the Air Force and a 30- year employee of North American Rockwell, Boeing in southern California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard F. McAdams Sr. and Muriel Williams McAdams; and his wife, Betty De-Graffenreid McAdams.
He is survived by his current wife, Louise Brantley McAdams; his daughter, Marlene McAdams Young and husband Tony; three grandchildren, Daniel Young, Marny Young Wheeler and husband Justin, and Jamie Young Atwell and husband Jordan; four great- grandchildren, Mason and Eva Wheeler, Eleanor and Jubal Atwell; brother, Jim McAdams; niece, Patricia Muniz and husband, Mike; nephew Ken and wife, Carina; and stepsons Rand and Brian McClure.
His legacy lives on through his lifetime devotion to God, his family and his church. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was also an active member of his community.
He volunteered at Rolling Hills Ministry for several years. He loved to travel and see the world, which he did both locally and Internationally.
Mr. McAdams was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at 10 a. m. and funeral services following at 11 on Saturday, May 13, in the Chapel at Temple Baptist Church, Ruston, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life.
