Betty Ann (Fuller) Brady
Betty Ann ( Fuller) Brady of Dubach, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in Plano, Texas at the age of 94.
She was born on September 23, 1929, at her home in Dubach, to Bernice Colvin Fuller and Chroley Smith Fuller. Betty was a much-loved daughter, sister, sisterin- law, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt, greataunt, great-great-aunt, cousin, and a friend to countless people.
She was an admired and respected public elementary and high school music teacher for 24 years. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Louisiana Tech University and was a mentor to many young minds throughout her teaching career and beyond. Betty was a devout Christian and a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Dubach, where she attended from childhood until the time she moved to Dallas to be closer to family.
She was very active in the church in missions as WMU Director for many years and Music Director as needed. She also taught an adult women’s Sunday School Class, as well as serving in VBS in the summers, helping with various fellowships and countless other activities. First Baptist Dubach and its members were always in her heart and prayers. Betty was always excited to share about her love for God, Jesus, and the Bible. She was a very loving, forgiving, caring, and sharing person, and will continue to be loved and missed by many. Betty’s life was an example of God’s grace, love and companionship.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Colvin and Chroley Smith Fuller; her 5 siblings, George Henry, Effie Louise ( Sis), James Edward (Bub), William Lee, and Chroley Smith, Jr., and her husband Malvin Roy (Steve) Brady.
She is survived by two sons, Dan Brady and wife, Sheri of Plano, Texas; Philip Brady and wife Leslyn of Dallas, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Mike Brady and wife Megan of Hendersonville, Tennessee; Heather Farrar and husband Rob of Plano, Texas, Christina McDonald and husband Edward of Jacksonville, Florida; Crystal LeClair of Jacksonville, Florida; Justin Ballew and wife Tiffany of Blue Springs, Missouri; Jonathan Ballew of Dallas, Texas; 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and 1 sister-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Dubach, on December 1, 2023, at 2 pm.
