Green Clinic purchase longer than expected, but still on
The sale of Ruston’s Green Clinic to Allegiance Health Management owner Rock Bordelon is apparently taking a little longer than first expected.
Clinic Chief Executive and Financial Officer Lori Keen confirmed Wednesday that process has been pushed back, but she said the sale is still on.
Keen said needing more time isn’t unusual for a project the size of the pending acquisition.
The deal was initially to have closed Oct. 4. Details of the sale haven’t been made public.
Calls left for Bordelon at AHM’s corporate office in Bossier City had not been answered by Wednesday afternoon.
Bordelon and Green Clinic announced the pending acquisition Sept. 17. Officials say the transition, whenever it happens, will be seamless for Green Clinic patients.
Bordelon also owns Northern Louisiana Medical Center. AHM manages NLMC. The clinic venture is expected to align it closely with NLMC, creating what a press release issued at the time described as “a more cohesive and comprehensive healthcare network in the region.”
