Tech bowling ends fall ranked 12th nationally
The Louisiana Tech bowling team was ranked 12th in the latest NTCA Coaches Poll, released by the association on Thursday.
The Bulldogs entered the season ranked seventh, but their up-and-down first half of the season caused them to drop five places in the latest poll.
Tech started the season with a 9-4 record at Destination Orlando. The Bulldogs beat two out of six ranked teams in head-tohead competition.
They fell short of defending their title at the Track Kat Klash but came away with a fourthplace finish.
In Houston, Tech went 7-6 against the competition and 3-5 against ranked teams.
Finishing out the fall portion of the schedule, Louisiana Tech finished eighth at the Ladyjack Motive Classic and ninth at the Colonial Lanes Classic. The Bulldogs went a combined 14-11 and 7-8 against ranked opponents.
Tech returns to the lanes with the Northeast Classic starting on Jan. 17 at Bowlerama in New Castle, Delaware.
The Bulldogs will have five other tournaments before beginning postseason play, including hosting the Bulldog Classic starting Feb. 28.
