And mama played the organ

Now, of all my childhood memories, I think the sweetest one is of my mother playing when evening chores were done in our farmhouse after supper.

When things were put away, we’d gather ‘round the organ and beg Mama to play.

As the hearth-fire crackled and wild geese winged high above, she’d sing and play til that ol’ house just overflowed with love!
